Using a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch, Digital Vehicle Key allows you to lock, unlock and even start your vehicle.[2]

The Mercedes-Benz app lets you pair your vehicle and activate services like Remote Engine Start, Remote Door Lock & Unlock, Locate Vehicle and more, all on-the-go. Simply scan the QR code in the vehicle's multimedia system or enter your Vehicle Identification Number in the app to pair your vehicle. Then, touch one button to activate all of your services. To become a Mercedes-Benz Digital Extras user, you must own a model year 2019 or newer Mercedes-Benz vehicle (excluding B-Class and smart) or a 2023 or newer Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van. Digital Extras such as Vehicle Status and the Mercedes-Benz emergency call system are lifetime services, while Connect+ Services, including Remote Engine Start and Remote Door Lock and Unlock are complimentary for one year for 2023 and newer vehicles.[7] You will need to download the Mercedes-Benz app to use these features.

Your dealer will be happy to assist you with this at the time you purchase your vehicle. If you've already left the dealership, your connected vehicle services can be activated and deactivated right from the Mercedes-Benz app. Simply download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or register and add your vehicle using the on-screen instructions, and then you will be able to activate your services. You do not have to provide a credit card to use Mercedes-Benz Digital Extras. Standard Connect services includes a wide range of safety and convenience features, while Connect+ services are complimentary for the first year starting with model year 2023. If you would like to renew your services afterwards, you will need to provide a credit card for payment in the Mercedes-Benz Store.
Most remote services will stop functioning but your account remains open and active for non-expiring services. You can view what is still active in the Mercedes-Benz app.
You can visit https://shop.mercedes-benz.com/en-ca/connect/ to view eligible services (when logged in), add the Connect+ Services to your shopping basket and check out. The service(s) will activate immediately once your vehicle has an active connection. Please note activation can take up to 48 hours depending on the coverage zone.
